    Hello All,

I am new to the BMW scene. But i have a 1998 528i. In the recent rain storm here in NJ. I went to turn on the wipers and ntohing. ANyone have a suggestions before i take it to a dealer to check itout?

Just had to replace a switch on one for a customer because they would not shut off. You need to either go after the plug at the wiper motor by removing the driver side cabin filter and check for powers and grounds or get to a shop with a really good scan tool like an Autologic or GT1 (not sure if a Launch X431 can do it) so they can see if the body computer is getting the proper signals from the switch. Sorry I can't be of more help, but everything is computers nowadays. Fuse 1 is for the wipers, but make sure that every seemingly unrelated fuse is good, because they computers control the body and must all be online and have all their power feeds intact.
