After recent rainstorms here in Alabama, I detailed my Sport Wagon. I discovered about 1/4 inch of water in the battery compartment! Anyone has had this problem? There is a small white rubber hose hanging, connected to what I guess is the outside of the fender. Any ideas how to find the leak? Thanks y'all.

After another rainstorm, I discovered the source of the leak: water was filtering in around the rear windshield washer reservoir cap in the D pillar. A little silicone and the leak is gone. I have not discovered where the rubber hose goes. Do BMW batteries have some kind of vent?

Yes all BMW batteries have vents to the outside.
