water dumping out of the back doors on opening

On a couple of recent trips with lots of rain I noticed that the rear doors would dump a lot of water after the trip when i opened the rear doors. Just started this on my 2003 540. Any similar problems? Even got one of the mats wet on the left side. Seals look OK.

Search for vapor barrier and you should find everything you need to know. This is a common E39 problem.

thanks, any tricks to taking the back door trim off on a 2003 540 to seal it back up, one of the how to links did not open at my office.
