hi fellow car goofs - i am contemplating the drive to Ofest in June, and my wife would feel a whole lot better if i was caravanning. i've done it many times before, there are definite plusses, but the details can be tricky. i'd be interested in discussing the trip with any other boston-area drivers...

I imagine you won't have any problems finding folks willing to caravan. A quick mapquest check from Boston to Denver runs you Boston-Albany-Syracuse-Buffalo-Cleveland-Toledo-Chicago-Davenport-Desmoines-Omaha-Lincoln-Kearney-Denver. If you set your itinerary & accomodations & then get that info to the chapters on your route for their websites or newsletters, asking for rsvp's, I'd think you stand a pretty good chance of having a good caravan form. Don't forget the FRS radios so peeps can stay in communication while running on the road!

Attach a rope to Joe's camper and leave the driving to someone else.

Wondering if anybody will be passing through Des Moines on Sunday morning? My wife and I will be heading down I-35 from the Twin Cities, and should be joining I-80 in Des Moines about 10am. We are planning to get all the way to Denver on Sunday.
