My '06 325i came with 3 keys - the two remotes with pull-out keys and a plastic wallet key that fits in a blank holder located in the glove box. The wallet key saved me major hassles in Los Angeles when I lost my remote. My '08 325i coupe came only with the 2 remotes - no wallet key. The dealer says the wallet key was discontinued, but my wife's '08 Z4 came with one. Does anyone know the story here and, if my new car wasn't supposed to have a plastic wallet key, is it possible to order one? Thanks
Recently picked up a '09 535 Xdrive touring and had the plastic key. Looked in the 5-series manual and the emergency key is part of the package. WGH
Tried to order one for my '09 E93 335i and found it was not available. Parts guy told me that some models have them, some don't. Disappointing to me.
