I have a RAZR2 V9m that is connected to the car via bluetooth. When I use VZ Navigator I cannot hear the voice prompts over the car speakers and the phone speaker shuts off as well.

As a test I connected a bluetooth headset. I can hear the directions on the headset.

So the phone, when connected to a bluetooth device, assumes the device will play the directions and turns off its internal speaker.

So, does anyone know how to either a) get the directions to play over the car speakers or b) re-enable the phone speaker?

And yes I know that turning off bluetooth on either the car or the phone will play sound from phone speaker, but then I can't use my phone hands free to make a call. That is my work around for now, but I was looking for a better solution.

Nothing you can do. Same problem people with iPhones have in that they can't play their voicemail.

This is why - at the moment - I still recommend in-car satnav.
