Hello Forum, I recently purchased the car; had leaky valve cover, but no stumbling or CEL. Replaced the valve cover gasket, and a new symptom occurred - stumbling and short period of RPM fluctuation at startup - more pronounced when cold, but present at each startup. Swapped vanos solenoids and condition pretty consistent, but no CEL when swapped from original position. Just also replaced the coils and plug, and changed the oil. Fault code from Peake scanner is: Intake Vanos Solenoid flush test (or like that). Ideas are welcomed before I take it to the dealer for their analysis. Thanks!

So you only have a fault for the intake camshaft? First thing to check is to remove the oil cap and make sure the plastic center cone is still there.
