What is the valve tappet clearance for this model, 318I 1985? Any instructions to do by my self? Thanks! Mirza.
I believe the spec is .008". This job can be difficult not for the work involved but you can cause major damage to the engine. My suggestion is to get a Bentley manual so you can have this in front of you while you do the repair. Ditto the Bentley Manual - the E30 one is very, very helpful. It's not perfect, but it is very good. It also says cold-engine valve-adjustment spec is .008 inches.
