Again, not a BMW CCA event but something we may enjoy participating in!

    The Central New England Chapter
    2009 MS Auto Rally
    Sunday, June 14th, 2009

The Central New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society created this new fundraiser for everyone who enjoys a Sunday
afternoon drive in the country. No traffic and plenty of scenery as you
tour along the back roads of south central Massachusetts. Our goal is
    to raise $100,000!

WHO: Presented by the Central New England Chapter of the National MS Society this fundraiser road rally is
open to all street legal vehicles.

ENTRY FEE: Our goal is to raise $100,000 for the New England Chapter of the National MS Society!
Members of each vehicle are considered a team and we encourage each team to reach a fundraising goal of $1000. The minimum fundraising goal per team is $500.00. Please seek donations for your goal from family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, co-workers, college friends and your employer.

WHEN: Sunday, June 14, 2009. Rain or shine.

WHERE: The rally begins and ends at the Hopkinton State Park near Boston, MA. Take Route I-495 (north or
south) to exit 21A, Main Street Hopkinton. Travel on Main Street until the third traffic light located at the heart
of downtown Hopkinton. Turn left, traveling North on Route 85. Proceed approximately 2 miles to the Hopkinton
State Park entrance on the right. Follow the main Park road to the Birch Street Parking lot (Lot F).

TIME: Registration begins at 9:00 am. Tech meeting is 9:45 am. Rally begins at 10:00 am sharp.

COURSE: Approximately 50 miles long. Will take 3 hours to complete. Three pit stops. This road course will traverse the seldom traveled back roads of south central Massachusetts taking the participants to hidden treasurers that few people will ever get a chance to see.

WHAT TO BRING: Bottled water, snacks, clip board, pen, shoe box and a full tank of gas. You must be at least 18 years old to be a driver, possess a valid drivers license and bring proof of automobile insurance. Drivers license and insurance card must be current. Vehicle registration will not be accepted. No alcoholic beverages, no pets and no reckless driving. Consuming an alcoholic beverage before or during the rally will result
in immediate disqualification and no refund.

    What Is A Road Rally?
A road rally is a driving tour in the country, on well paved public roads where a group of people
compete in a very casual outing for points to win prizes.
As each team leaves the "gate" they receive a "Rally Packet" which includes directions, scavenger
hunt list, and tour questions. Five points are awarded for each scavenger hunt item collected and five
points are awarded for each question answered correctly. The team with the highest score wins. We
have at least 3 pit stops scheduled for this road rally. A "Pit Stop" is a pre-designated stop where
you can get out of your vehicle, stretch your legs and take a bathroom break.
This road rally is designed and conducted by Scenic Road Rallies LLC of Sunman, Indiana.
