Question? Did all E30s come with a trunk lid liner behind tool set? If so where can I find one? I was told they were gray in color. Zdaneman sends
mine didn't have one, there was some foam thing directly behind the tool kit though if that's what you were referring too
Confused? Well, thats what I thought just painted bare metal. I do remember seeing a liner somewhere, not sure if it was aftermarket or custom. I just won a car show with the E30 in orginial import class. None of the judges said anything, but not sure if they were really qualified to discuss orginial BMW E30s. There were about 28 cars in my class most were fine looking autos, but they either had one of the three areas dirty or not up to par; paint, interior or engine bay. I truely think my car was the only one where all three areas were super clean. Winning best of show was out of reach due to a two time "Grand National Winning" 57 Chevy which had been through two full frame off restorations in the last 30 years. It was super sharp and clean. A trunk lid liner was available for the E30s, but unlike the diagram, has the cutout for the smaller tool kit. I have one, unused, still in the plastic bag, if you're interested. I haven't had a chance to return it to VOB. It adds a nice finished touch to the trunk compartment. I'm in Leesburg. Where was the car show?
Trunk Liner John, I'm interested in the liner. What color is it? What do you want for it? I'm in Springfield ,VA . What attachement hardware does it require? Let me know when we can do a link-up, you're about 40 miles from me. Car show took place on Ft. Belvior. Small time stuff, but there were a lot of neat old rides at the show! One exceptional 57 Chevy. Thanks Zdaneman sends
Please send me an e-mail for details (click on my name). It's gray (like the tool kit), and "pops" into place on the trunk lid via clips (not included) like the door panel. Part 51411870718 (Clamp)
