The Steptronic in my '08 328i Coupe whines noticeably in the lower gears, at low speeds, especially when accelerating gently. My '06 325i did the same thing and BMW Santa Clara said it's normal. I hear the same thing in loaners. Does anyone else notice this in the Steptronic and is there any way to minimize the noise? Other than this I'm really happy with the new car, even the nav system. richard4159@att.net
