I meant I'm stuck in the house taking care of them! NOT making them do it! I do not let the kids near my car!

I have found a simple solution that helps preserve my car's finish. Right after washing, while the car is still wet, I apply a product called Tech Shine. You gently apply it to the wet car with a sponge and then rinse it off. It only takes a few minutes to apply and works great.

    Spray 'n' wipe

While I was in Seaburg at the E30 Picnic, I picked up some of Griot's waterless stuff (yeah like they have to conserve water in Seattle!). I also have a jug of something I got from---I'm not making this up!---an outfit called Mary Moppins. But that bottle is still in my roadster, which is still in Reno---it's a long story.

Here in Mondo Condo, washing your car ist verboten. I have been using a Memphis goo that you dilute heavily and sort of "spit wash" your car---you know, like your mother cleaning your face HOLD STILL with a Kleenex and spit YOU'RE GOING TO PUT YOUR EYE OUT using her index finger.

I cleaned an entire set of M3 wheels with Griot's Spray Shine, but that's because I didn't have their waterless wash. Spray Shine is a little spendy for that purpose, I think.

PS: When I was sixteen, I used to apply Lemon Pledge to my '53 Merc flathead. . .

    Waterless cleaning

    Go to wetpaint's web sitewetpaintglaze.com
Read about the product, watch the video. Joe C. (the guy who writes for the roundel) Ask him he was going to try it. The Blue BMW on Wet Paint's web site is my car.

The pressure from the touchless washes also forces water into your doorlocks and jams, therefor anyone living in a cold climate will definitely regret it in the morning when their key wont go in the lock.
