Thanks to all at BMWCCA and BMW. 12/3 -- Car purchased and delivered. 12/7 -- Paperwork mailed to SC via Priority Mail. 12/10 -- Paperwork delivered to BMWCCA office. 12/20 -- Email acknowledgement received from BMWCCA. 12/23 -- Check processed at BMW NA. 12/30 -- Check received and deposited by happy BMW owner! You must be new to the Club! Hey, wait a minute. This isn't supposed to happen! You're supposed to be screaming and yelling at the people who work in the National Office because you neglected to file the paperwork on time, or you let your membership lapse, or you somehow otherwise screwed things up so you were ineligible for the Membership Rewards rebate, and it's ALL SOMEBODY ELSE'S FAULT! Okay, you did everything right this time. But you'll have another chance soon enough! (Can you guess why I have my membership on automatic renewal?!)
Good point, Satch. Next time I'll fill in the form using a yellow Crayola, make sure my xeroxes are illegible, maybe fail to include the mileage statement (just for fun! what laughs!), and mail it to Greenville in a poorly sealed envelope with insufficient postage. That oughta do the trick. Then I can join in the howls of protest. Kidding aside, I'm sure that something goes haywire from time to time but the process is so simple I'll bet that 99.9% go through perfectly. I've been a member since 2006 but this was my first experience with Membership Rewards. Because of the holidays, the possibility of Club staff taking time off, the increased volume of requests due to BMW's sale event, and the general slowness at this time of year, I was not expecting to see anything until the full 10 weeks or so. Wow, was I surprised. One suggestion to improve the process: Make the application form an editable PDF so the requestor can simply type in the information. Would improve legibility over handwritten entries. Thanks again. PS: Keep up the good work on Roundel!
Me, Too! In the last 4 years I have purchased 2 BMWs, 1 new, 1 CPO. I got a check both times in very short order...a Terrific program. Very easy- no snags. Thanks BMW & BMWCCA!
