    Howdy,

On my way to work I noticed the Temp gauge jumping with a twitch. I then noticed that the tack was reporting the RPMS at a lower rate then the engine was actually running and it started to twitch and now it will not move from 0 RPMS. Today the ABS light came on but the temp has stopped twitching, tack still dead ! I think it knew that I was thinking about selling it. Alas after driving it in the rain I have fallen in love with it, warts and all.

Would some one give me a pointer on how to search past threads/forums on the new site ?

    These new forums did not

These new forums did not carryover the posts from the old forums, so there isn't much to search for here as far as tech information. New forums are coming that contain the bulk of the old forums, but that doesn't help you this minute.

You might try googling, or searching the other BMW-specific forums - bimmerforums.com, bimmerfest.com, etc., also search Pelican Parts, and Bavauto.com.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the advise.

I did find that when I removed fuse 21 the tach and temp would work all of the gauges would work.

The glove box and trunk light does not and the radio looses power when the ignition is turned off so that I have to reset the code.

    Does that make sense ?

I found great info on the bigcoupe.com forum on SI batteries, grounding and connections to the ECU.
