Aloha! I have a couple of sunroof probs: the usual one of the rattling and; rusting in the two spring areas of the wind deflector. The rattling problem is the same as everyone's, except that I cannot get the inside panel to push back. This may be due to the fact that I had it re-upholstered some years back, and the upholstery, while very good quality and an excellent job, may be a little thicker than the original, so is a tight fit. Does anyone know how to remove that spring-loaded wind deflector? The rust has "grown" up onto the deflector itself, above one of the two front springs. I would like to take the entire deflector off and see if I can clean out the rust - and hope that it hasn't gone into the roof! It looks like the two ends of the deflector are held down by torx or allen screws, but I cannot determine how one gets the two front spring-units undone. I did not want to experiment too much on that and end up with a mess!
