I have a 2003 Z4 where the top pump had stopped working. I had been able to unlock/lock the top using normal electronic controls and drop the top manually until recently. due to vandalism the car required a new top be put on. after the new cloth I am unable to open the top and appears to only be bound by the hook lock on one side. The upholstery shop that performed the work will not help on this. Can anyone help me with a solution to manually unhook this? It appears as though the mechanism would be viewable if the hard plastic part of the headliner is removed. Can anyone tell me how to remove that so I can get a look?
