I took delivery of a 2008 550i w/ sport package in August 2008. Almost immediately, I noticed a noise when I would steer the car hard to the left or right. The car has been to the BMW dealership in excess of 6 times. The noise can not be reproduced, so I am told. I have been on drives with the shop foreperson and BMW engineers. The car will make the noise once but they tell me that since it only makes the noise once and they can not reproduce the noise the car is fine. BMW NA has requested that I sign a release in exchange for $1000. I have refused to do so. Any one with a similar experience?
'07 550i same concern my '07 550i sport has a similar problem - the dealer has yet to figure it out. I'm bringing it in again soon and will ask them to check it over one more time - i'll let you know if i have any success.
