I am trying to get the water marks off the metal trim on my '89 635CSI. Not actually water marks but some sort of drying abnormality. Can any cleaners wipe this off to make the metal look clean?
The black rubber is dull and I have ben told ArmorAll is bad to use. Any ideas to make the rubber shiny and bright? I evidentially have a short in the brake light circuit as after replacing the bulbs twice the CHECK light comes on whenever I start the car. Guess I will have to live with this as when I shove my briefcase on the brake pedal and run to the rear all the brake lights are shining brightly and seem to be working. Otherwise this car is perfect!

Maybe look again at the bulb holder sockets and make sure all contact points are clean and uncorroded, and check the ground connections.
