My Schroth Rallye 4(not Quick-Fit) harness came today. I was stoked until I found out I need a special bolt for the inside lap-belt mount.

Someone at Unofficial BMW wrote that you can mount the lap-belt ends to the rear seat-rail bolts, where the seat rails attach to the floor. Has anyone done this? Is there any advantage over the factory belt locations?

Shoulder belt mounts are done. I've ordered the adapter bolt for the factory mount location, but I'd consider mounting the lap belt to the floor/seat-rail.

Thanks a lot. Couple of questions:

Did you mount the harness bracket under the rail (between the rail and the carpet) or under the bolt head (between the bolt head and the rail)?

Any interferance problems with moving the seat front-back?

    Any pictures?
