I have an 2000 528i when cold at times it idles ruff and dies. I was told that a sensor usually causes this. Mass air sensor? If so can I clean it like I've done with an older Ford Explorer I have that has one? If so what would you recommend to clean it? Thanks

I'm not a wrench - but I think they are refering to the O2 sensor - on the exhuast.

That's what I was thinking. I was told that can cause a rough idle and poor gas mileage.
