I let my membership lapse with the sale of my E36 in 1998. Have owned '68 2002, '72 2002Tii, E30 and E36, all purchased new. After a Porsche 996, I came halfway back to BMW with a 2005 Mini Cooper S, which was going to leave the stable for the 135 due next week; but my wife, more the enthusiast than I imagined, thinks it's too much fun to let go. It's now hers, a late fiftieth anniversary present. I have one car for utility and one for fun. Why shouldn't she?
