Dear all, can you recommend any BMW repair shops in the Raleigh area? I have to get some basic stuff done (brakes, headlamp, oil change) and figured that I would try using a private shop instead of the dealer. I'm aware of Shade Tree Garage on Creedmoor Road, but that's about it. Any advice?

Shade Tree Garage in north Raleigh or Import Motor Werks in Cary. Shade Tree is about $20 less per hour in labor rate.

    Stay away from Bimmerperformance.

Shade tree is a good idea or better yet European Performance.

Any current updates to the above list of shops?

Looking for opinions on the most knowledgeable e46 shops in this area. I know of:
    • European Performance (Cary). More of a Porsche shop which I've used and recommend for those.
    • Bimmer Performance Center (Raleigh)
    • North Raleigh Performance
    • Precision Autoworks
    • 1st Class Automotive (Bosch shop and the only listed BIMRS.org shop in the area)
    • Shade Tree Garage
    Thanks!
