    Hi all,

New to using the CCA forum and hoping someone can provide some insight for me.

I recently acquired a set of Recaro C81 seats. The leather is in extremely good condition, but I’m unsure of the functionality of the switches and electronics and some of the Turn knobs have some wear or are broken. I acquired them in a bulk purchase and I have no use for them. The seller said she wasn’t sure which of her husbands cars they were from, but the son thought they were from a Porsche 911. I have searched for some specifics on these seats, and I believe they may have come out of an 80s or 90s BMW.

Can anyone identify what car these seats may have come from? Can anyone provide guidance on the value for when I sell them?

    Thanks in advance!

    Kindly,
    Tyler

Hmm to me those look like fairly high-end aftermarket Recaro's that would have replaced some stock seats in some car, I don't think those were ever stock seats in any stateside BMW. Check ebay for comparables and also search completed auctions which will show what others sold for or if they didn't sell. Those are high quality seats, great for older cars, turn into office chairs, or use for setting up a comfy gaming driving rig. Recaros could have been used in anything they could have been adapted to - German cars would be a common swap, among others.
