A few months ago I purchased a 2016 X5M. Since then I have received two warnings to add 1 quart of oil. The first came about a month and a half ago, and again this morning. Is this normal? I don't have any visual signs of an oil leak. Just trying to see if this is to be expected?
BMW does use a lot of oil according to BMW’s specs. It is normal for your engine to use 1 liter of oil every 500-750 miles. Just make sure you don’t have smoke out the tailpipe or a burning smell.
