Problems with 2002 M5 CD Changer

    My CD changer hasn't worked for a while. I put discs in the cassette, put the changer cassette into the changer, the changer closes but the radio display insists that I have no discs in the changer. I have tried flipping the discs over, wiping them down, blowing out the chamber with compressed air, etc. Is there a reset process here?

    I believe there is a rest button on the changer. You can find a used one for ~$100 if it's died.

    i went thru about 3 CD changers when I had my e46, and they were all junk IMO. You're better off going aftermarket and getting an ipod setup.
