Just purchased a 2006 330xi without run-flats.( Eagle Performance Touring on car). I have noticed a heavy steering wheel, almost like the power steering is not enabled. Any history of this with this vehicle?
Is this your first BMW? If so welcome to the club. There may not be anything wrong with your car. The traditional heavy steering of BMW's is actually one of my favorite things about them. If you are coming from a Japanese or domestic car the BMW steering is going to feel a lot heavier.
I had an x3 for a few years and drove a bunch of 328xi loaners and I do't remember the steering being as heavy as this particular vehicle. P.S. Thanks for replying and for the welcome.
Also in an '06 330xi without run flats. I wouldn't characterize the steering as light by any means, but still entirely manageable.
