The Allegheny Chapter extends an invitation to all BMW owners to join in the annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP) gathering. The PVGP offers the most unique racing venue in the country and the chance to see over 2000 show cars. In 2011, highlights for BMW enthusiasts include the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of 5er Fest and a return of 2002s to the race track.

Activities begin on July 16th and 17th at BeaveRun Race track where the Liberty Mutual Chapter will host a multi-marque German car corral and picnic lunch overlooking the front straight. In addition to a BMW CCA Club Race, experience vintage racing sanctioned by the VRG.

This year the Chapter is planning 4-days of events surrounding the Schenley Park weekend. Plans for Thursday, July 21st, include a Flat-Out Day offered by BeaveRun Motorsports Complex for PVGP participants. On Friday, July 22nd, join us on the suburban roads north of Pittsburgh for a group tour and rally. Lunch will be at the Casa Narcisi Winery. Friday evening features a Spaten welcome reception in the race paddock of Schenley Park. Host hotel will once again be the Radisson Greentree, www.radisson.com
    - BMW11 for $99 special rate.

In cooperation with the MyE28.com special interest group, the Chapter extends a special welcome to all 5 series owners in 2011. In addition to special prizes and events, 5er Fest attendees are eligible for a parade lap during race day opening ceremonies. If you are lucky enough to own more than one BMW, bring the 5 series in 2011!

July 23 and 24 are race days in Schenley Park. The BMW pavilion and corral overlooking Turn 13 of the temporary race circuit affords one of the most desirable vantage points to watch the races. In addition to prime parking, registration includes catered lunches and refreshments by Spaten under the BMW CCA pavilion on Saturday and Sunday. Additional planned activities include a participant's choice show and shine sponsored by Sonax, door prizes, drawings, and plenty of Germany's finest machinery, both new and old.
