Jorn at Passport BMW (Marlow Hts, MD), put the order in last Friday. So when will I find out the date that I will be picking up the car the Welt? I've been searching through the various airline schedules and hope to use frequent flier points to pay for the trip. Clearly, Lufthansa has the best schedules between Washington DC and Munich but I have very few points on that airline and can't transfer any in because Lufthansa is not a member of AMEX membership rewards. The next best schedule is with USAIR through Philadelphia and they tell me I can upgrade to Business Class going East and stay in Coach on the return. The last option is Continental through Newark. Anyone have any experience flying either of these two US carriers over the Atlantic?

I have flown US Air many times to Frankfurt, and its no worse, no better than any other airline I have ever flown. After 8-9 hours in a metal tube, all you want to do is get the heck out of it. However, I DO recomend avoiding the Philly airport. Maybe it was just my luck, but I have yet to fly through that airport and arrive OR depart on the scheduled time. Enjoy your new "ride"!
