    Welcome from another Newbie

I too hope you will find your dream car.
I thought I had found mine in my 2005 Z4 2.5L Maldives Blue and perfect gem.
I soon discovered that my better half was far less pleased than I had hoped.
It's not really close to what you're looking for, but one never knows, just like I did not anticipate my wife's response to my "surprise" and let's have some different kind of fun during our retirements that only recently got off to a less than ideal first step in our Golden Years. Who wouldn't want a convertible for a change in beautiful Santa Barbara -- an ideal place for a convertible, so I thought.
    Oh well, live and learn.
    Again, welcome and good luck.

    What's wrong with that woman?!

Mannnn, MALDIVES BLUE! That color is so subtle!

You're right about Santa Barbara. Like San Diego, it's the Z4's natural environment.

I agonized for months before buying the Geezermobile. Finally, literally on the day I was negotiating with the dealer, I called an old friend. "Sign the check," he said. "This ain't no #$%ing dress rehearsal!" That was over a year and a half ago, and I have to admit that the pleasure I get from driving this car borders on sin.

Oh dear, I even WAX the damn thing!

[That originally read "s h i t oh dear," but apparently we have robotic censors on this forum!]

    And another thing

Have your better half take the car and one of her gal pals for Girls' Day Out up to the wine country just north of you. The trunk will hold a case of nice reds, easy. I recommend Black Jack Vineyards---tasty morsels.

Or let her drive it in an autocross. . .

Welcome GC123! What part of the world are you inhabiting? I've seen some nice X3s here in NY, but it might be a bit of a drive for you!
