    Buenos dios amigos!
Just purchased a '98 E39 with an EWS code issue but I don't care because I now own a
spectacular example of German Engineering and Technology. This is the second BMW I have owned (in the past 40 years) and look forward to learning about and working on the car, and by the size of the workshop manuals I'm gonna be busy for a long time.
    Vaya con dios,

Welcome indeed! I know a certain Mr. Dinan who can probably help with electronic issues!

Welcome, and thanks for "saving" another e39! At this point, they are pouring into the scrap yards, so yours now has a chance to be a survivor with a mechanically inclined owner such as you!
