Just a note to say hi- First time member of BMWCCA, just got my third BMW over the past 30 some years (had a 2002 in the 70's and more recently a 335i), a 2011 550i and enjoying every minute of it. Three kids, oldest off to college in a few weeks, and other than trying to keep up with them about the only hobby I've had is cars. In the past it was always 'let's try this one or that one next', never really settled on any one vendor, but at this point in my life can't really see owning anything than a BMW and they certainly have enough variation to enjoy in the coming years.
