Hello all! My name is Derrick and I finally joined BMWCCA. I used to be into Hondas and decided to take on a new venture, thanks to my sister. I think she may be a former BMWCCA member because I found a decal in her manual binder. She owned an E36 325 convertible and she loved it! After the clutch master cylinder gave up on her, she gave up on the car as well. It sat in our driveway for 4 years untouched because I had no knowledge of German cars. She recently passed away from cancer and left me her car. It instantly became my mission to rebuild the car as I knew she would be happy to see it running again. I stopped working on my E90 and focused my build on the E36. I am almost done and I am already looking for a new project, E30... Anyways, here are my past and current cars. First (sold): Second (sold): Third (Current): 2010 E90 335i M-sport My new project: 1994 E36 Convertible (Before) After: (Build thread soon)
Welcome to the club, Derrick! My condolences to you, for the loss of your sister, as well. Cars are lookin' good there, very nice!
If you tackle your own projects, or some of them, you'll find the Bentley manuals for your models very helpful. Used might be available via Ebay, or other sources are www.bavauto.com or http://www.bentleypublishers.com/bmw/ .
Thank you all. Im almost done with the E36 convertible and looking for another project. Should I continue now with the E90 or try to get an E30?
Yeah, ditto - you can break the bank on the E90, and, since there's an infinite variety of things for E30's, you can get yourself a project that'll keep you busy indefinitely.
