I leased a new 550 xi 1 year ago and decided it was about time to join BMWCCA. Last bimmers owned were a new '82 320i and '88 528. New car is a bit peppier than both Car is great, fun to drive with no major issues. I now have 10,000 miles on it and average about 13MPG, about a 50/50 mix city / highway and probably average in terms of speedy driving. Was told by the dealer this is normal and that's OK with me if it is - but wondering if there is something that might be adjusted?
Yes 13 mpg is quite normal depending on how the vehicle driven and any time you have spirited driving it drops even more.
