Interestingly, with my new iPhone, the phone book is downloaded flawlessly with the (older generation) iDrive found in my '08 535 but only partially downloads the phone book in the new generation iDrive found in the '09 3 series. With the latter only some of my phone book contacts are downloaded to the car. Jonathan, or anyone, have any insight into this? Thanks.
Follow-up: I analyzed the numbers that WERE downloaded and realized none of the numbers were classified in the phone as a "Main" number. I changed their category and now they successfully download to the BMW's iDrive. NOTE: This is only an issue with the latest generation iDrive.
