I want to replace my rusty brake rotors and install new pads n my 2011 335is coupe. I want to upgrade from the BMW OEM rotors to a product that is more rust resistant. I am considering Stop Tech, Zimmerman and Pagid rotors. Also Hawk or Cool Carbon street pads.

Has anyone had experience with any of these? Any other brands I should consider?

Zimmerman are basically oem rotors. Stop tech is also good rotors. I recommend hawk pads I have used them before on some of my cars and really liked them.

I have replaced mine (M235xi) with StopTech (mid-tier) and their rotors and I'm ok with them. Their price point is about 1/3 that of OEM but I felt that my original pads were a lot grippier.

As such, I'll stick with OEM (or upgrade to OEM M pads) in the future.

But, if you do go to the track, your needs for pads that are track-oriented in nature will be different.
