I'm converting a 1994 325is into a SpecE36 car, and have gotten to the point of re-starting the car for the first time. The car turns over but won't start. Symptoms are hazards flashing, no fuel pump action, hence no running. I jumpered the fuel pump per the Bentley manual and it works, so it's not the pump. I also noticed the fuse for the power door locks is blown, which it wasn't prior to trying to start the car. I'm suspecting something to do with removing the crash sensor as when I take the crash sensor relay out, the hazards stop flashing. This would, of course, explain the fuel pump being shut off. Can someone help with direction on how to bypass this aspect of the system? Other thoughts are much appreciated.
The car doesn't have the EWS, so that isn't it. But thanks for the suggestion. It's got to be something like that, I figure, because anything else would be too easy. I really hate all the computers in these things...
