I am in the process of purchasing a 1985 M635csi and I live in Fairfied County, CT. Curious I could get some recommendations of mechanics in my area. As much as it annoys Steven, I have to say, go to MyE28.com and ask. The E24 is so similar to the E28 that we effectively treat them as the same in terms of maintenance and repair. There are a number of Connecticut-area members there who can recommend the best in services. They'd also be happy to help you wrench on it yourself if you're so disposed.
Doesn't annoy me a bit for a member to offer advice to another member. You just know what buttons to press to get me going.
