    hadn't thought of it before, but this is kinda fun -

    you can use the aerial images on mapquest to see an overview shot of the racetracks around the country. Undoubtedly there's places to dig up better images and overviews, but it's fun for a lark, anyway.

    Another great time-waster when you should be helping grow the economy by working a second job. Here's another: In Adobe Photoshop Elements (and other photo editing software), you can put a location tag on your photos that is translated to latitude/longitude coordinates. This is part of the image data you can attach to photos (along with shutter speed, camera type, lens length, etc., that is automatically attached). If you're not satisfied with the general location for the race track, you can zoom in and put a push pin not just on the street address of the site, but Turn 14 where you took those awesome photos, or the paddock, or the hilltop viewing area.
