I had an ElCamino SS, 1978. Purchased new, Great "cruck". Even handled well with F-41 suspension. BUT.............. I'd really rather have one of those. YUP.......... If life hands you a lemon,,,,,,,,. MAKE LEMON AID! Great looking cruck, Good job.
You're probably going to take a bath on the resale value... ...especially with that Chevrolet Canyon/GMC Colorado pickup bed. But hey, as long as you don't mind the soaking, enjoy the water.
Wouldn't quite have the same effect that way Otherwise, it just looks like an E46 with a bad haircut. It's a lot less adventurous that way, too. Why lop off half an E46's roof if you're not going to go all the way? The pickup bed helps the "El Camino effect," but there are much better looking pickup beds than the Colorado/Canyon. Look on the bright side. At least he didn't make a panel truck, an SUV, or a van out of it.
No...just, no. ^+1 If you want an El Camino.. then go buy yourself an El Camino, don't ruin a Bimmer trying to make one. You'd have to chop it in half, submerge it, then light it on fire, and you still wouldn't have it down to Chevy quality.
Cool In the 80's there was a body shop in VA Beach that made a 320 tow truck, complete with tag - BMWTRK
Interesting... It looks a lot cooler than I thought it would...nice job at creating something unique!!
