Trying to decide what warranty and maintenance programs to extend on the 2016 535xi car we plan to buy. Less than 25000 miles on it now. Any advice. Our older BMW repair records do not relate to this model. Been trying to learn what maintence is required for their warranty.
I recommend sticking with the BMW maintenance plan and CPO plan as they do cover the vehicle the best. Your vehicle uses a system called CBS (condition based service). Basically the car tells you when it requires service for the brakes, oil changes, brake fluid flush, micro filters, air filters, spark plugs. The trans fluid is lifetime fluid and so are the front and rear diffs. Transfer case will set a fault code in the system when it is due, but I recommend having that changed every 40 to 50k miles. Also for the best life on the tires I recommend rotating them every oil change.
