that was pretty awesome, I can't be the only one wondering why he gets sucked into the kidney when the engine revs though :D

That video was so cool! Even cooler, and I am not a huge sci-fi fan..being associtated with "Star Wars" and "American Graffiti" by way of owner of THX, you have a pretty cool bragging right...maybe...

I'm just curious why THX decided to license a BMW for a logo video in the first place.

Because the sound system in the M Roadster/Coupe is THX certified

Really?! Where did you unearth that little tidbit? I read every scrap of material I could find on that system before ordering it but never stumbled across that one. I am surprised BMW downplays it, given that THX probably has better name recognition than the DIRAC Live! signal processing they tout.

Either way, it's phenomenal. It has given me a bad habit of watching The Hire films at high volume while waiting at filling stations....

    Edit:
The E85/86 M Roadster/Coupe system is THX certified.
Don't know about other BMW sound systems.....

    Read about it here

Ah, OK, thanks. I thought you meant the current top M system ("Enhanced Premium Sound" option, stateside). I guess the THX system was its immediate predecessor. I wonder why they didn't bother certifying the new one...licensing fees, maybe? From the specs (and sound) it looks like a no-brainer to pass.

BTW, the THX trailer is cool, especially where he gets sucked through the intake butterfly. :)
(Wish I could play it in the car....)

I could burn the trailer DVD for you, but THX might not like that!
Can you save this YouTube video and burn it to a disc?
