My headlights can be easily moved around by opening the hood and holding the back of the light. Is this correct? I note some jiggling when I hit potholes. I have the Xenon lights.
I was replacing a turn signal bulb yesterday and noticed my Xenon lights were loose also. ('02 540i) Search Google for "e39 headlight adjusters" There are some DIY procedures that are a bit involved. If your car is '00 or less, the replacement procedure is easier. Adjusters are less than $85. I think the BMW dealer fix is to replace the headlight assembly.
