Don't know if anyone heard of this before. Both of the outside mirrors won't rotate any more. They are manually folded but they won't any more. I think the coils of springs that holds them in place and provides the tension to hold them still, are rusted together. How can the springs be accessed to free the links? This isn't worth two new side mirrors (I hope). Artie '99 E46 323i
