Loaded 2008 535xi with 27K miles. Dealer asking $42,000. 6sp. Drove well, looks spotless. Any issues I need to be aware of? Also, I want to add a body kit. Any suggestions?
I take it you are aware of the high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) problems that BMW is experiencing with the TT I6 engines?? Affected HPFP's are being given a 6 yr 120K warranty. Problem is that if BMW knows of a solution they haven't stated so (and probably won't given their secretive track record). Lots of threads on this over in the 3 series forums.
No, I wasn't aware of the fuel pump issue. Glad it doesn't affect the M3--that has been a trouble-free and exceedingly pleasurable car! I'll ask around and check the other forums about the HPFP. (Wouldn't be an issue if I could drive the M3 in 3 feet of snow....) Thanks.
