I can probably get a good deal on a dash, but I'm wondering about the time necessary for the replacement.

Give yourself a day or two (since you won't work continuosly and you will want to fiddle with replacing light bulbs and such, and will probably need to eat.) I can pull one in about an hour or so, but I know where everything is. 8 hours or less would be a good high estimate for a moderately skilled person.

I've heard of people do it anywhere between 2 and 10 hours. It is a PITA, regardless of how much time it takes. That is why I'm having someone help me take it apart. He claims a 2-hour time, so I'll see what tricks of the trade he's got.

Thanks Paul. And what's a reasonable time for a BMW shop tech to do it?
