I just got a iPhone 3GS and it does not transfer contacts via bluetooth to the 2009 iDrive in our 135i. It also will not charge when connected to the 6FL usb connector. Both of the functions worked flawlessly with my old original iPhone model. I know that Apple changed their ports to not accept firewire integrated usb charging or something like that. My biggest amazement is since this issue began with the iPhone 3G last year, why Apple nor BMW has solved this issue. Someone, please help!
