I have a 2002 330xi with 58,000 miles. It runs like new but recently the low coolant indicator light has been coming on intermittently. I have checked the coolant level several times and it is always where it should be. Some days the light does not come on at all. Other days it is off and on every few minutes. Any ideas? I am planning a long trip and want to avoid any potential damage to an otherwise perfect car. Thank you in advance. Sam
If it was E36 I'd say replace the reservoir, it is a common problem on E36's. If you are sure the coolant level is correct then I would start with the coolant level sensor.
