My son wants to by my '06 530xi that I was going to trade in on a new one. I'll sell it to him for what they'd give me on trade which is probably 10K less than on the dealer's lot. I have concern over what the New York dealers might charge him and, more importantly, whether they do the work right the first time (I've heard a lot of horror stories). Does anyone have a favorite dealer or independent BMW Service Center in the East Rockaway, New York area (East Rockaway is at the beginning of Nassau County). Thanks for your help. Mike USN (Ret)
A dealership should never be recommended for service unless it's to buy a new car or if their service rates are competitive (and as are their skills), which is never the case.
