   Anyone know how to get an original I pod to connect to a 2016 series 5. It's connect system doesn't recognize a non blue tooth I pod.

   Is there a USB port somewhere? Newest I have is 2013 & can plug ipod into that and select USB input from idrive 'Media' sub-menu...

   Yes try a apple white cable to the USB port.
