I recently had a hitch installed by UHaul because the BMW hitch is not available - however UHaul could not get their wiring harness to work. Does anyone know of a 3rd party harness that will also plug and play, or care to sell me a hitch wiring harness that you may not need?
You might want to check with BMW. I am not sure, but you might be able to just buy the wiring harness, even though the hitch was not available. GR

Or check with Bavarian Autosport, they can pretty much get any BMW part. I hope this helps. GR
thanks - this looks promising. the BMW parts folks are telling me the harness is sold separately, but on back order with no expected availablity date. But a parts company i found in the Roundel magazine last night (Peter Pan BMW) suggested the same part as your link shows and they say they can get it. So hopefully i am close to lighting up the boat trailer lights thanks for the feedback
